Stick Wrapped In Shirt Prompts Evacuation Of Wilmington Amtrak Station

WILMINGTON, Del. -

An Amtrak station in Wilmington was evacuated Thursday after a suspicious package was found on the front steps.

According to police, the package was a stick wrapped in a T-shirt. The package prompted an evacuation a nearby bus station, in addition to the train station.

SEPTA and Amtrak reported some delays in the area at the time of the evacuation.

It's not yet clear how the item ended up on the steps of the station.
