Phoenix tire shop bursts into flames

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

Flames and smoke shot out of a store that sells tires and gold near Glendale and I-17 on Thursday.

Officials say three people were inside the building when the fire started. They tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher but weren't able to reach it.

Firefighters had to cut into the building with saws to get the water hose to reach the fire.

Crews were able to keep the flames from spreading.

A manager and employee were inside the shop when the fire started, and both made it out safely and called the owner.

"My guy called me and he said your shop's on fire. My blood pressure go high and I had to start driving here," said Valery Yusubov, owner.

Investigators are working to find the cause of the fire. The owner says he does have insurance.
