Call Him Quick-Study Steve

It doesn't take much time for one to see that some fitting nicknames for this week's Wednesday's Child could include "Quick-Study Stevie" or "Studious Stevie".   So a learning excursion to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California was apropos for our time with Stevie (2001).

Stevie got some one-on-one attention from Stacy, the Aquarium's educator, as he learned quite a lot about sharks, octopi, and other marine life.  Stevie does well in school and is ready to rock the classroom with his marine biology knowledge.

Stevie enjoyed getting some "face time" with the Aquarium's resident lizard and turtle, but Stevie can be reserved and it is often harder for him to make friends as quickly as other children might. When Stevie does connect with someone, though, he's very loyal and giving.  Stevie enjoys alone-time reading, watching TV and playing with his toys and can be quite focused. Stevie has some difficulty adjusting to certain social situations so we're looking for a family who can help him with transitions.  Stevie would do well in a family with older children and whose members are willing to take the time to provide Stevie with the structure and consistency that he needs.
