WOODBINE, N.J. -

Tweets and Facebook comments posted late Tuesday afternoon reported shaking along the Jersey Shore.

Emergency management officials tell FOX 29 the shaking was centered in Wildwood.

"I froze. I thought it was another earthquake," said Cathy Glover about what she felt sitting in the living room of her Woodbine, New Jersey mobile home Tuesday afternoon.

It really scared her.

"I felt this really significant rumble under my feet and I just sat there and things started to shake," she said.

A heavy vibration came in two waves. The first one lasted about five seconds and was followed by another quick one. Glover said it was quick, but powerful enough to shift things around in the kitchen.

"It just felt like it was more underground. Then I looked and saw the things on the shelf had moved." She looked outside around her home because she was worried a propane tank may have exploded, but everything was fine. Whatever caused the shake up has Glover concerned.

"We're on blocks here. We don't have a basement or anything. Then the terrible things I've heard about sinkholes is another thing that runs through your mind," she said.

Rumors of an earthquake or sonic boom flooded social media, where others posted about feeling it too.

Still no word on what caused the ground shaking.
