PRESCOTT, Ariz. -

Prescott Police have arrested a man who they say assaulted his girlfriend's children at their shared apartment on Monday.

A 33-year-old woman told police her 25-year-old boyfriend Michael Gentilcore became angry at her 7-year-old son, hit him in the stomach, and pulled his hair.

Her 15-year-old daughter then tried to defend her brother, and Gentilcore allegedly put her in a head lock and punched her in the face several times.

An 18-year-old who was visiting the apartment attempted to restrain Gentilcore but he punched him in the face several times.

Gentilcore than punched a hole in the wall and fled the apartment before officers could arrive, according to police.

Gentilcore was located at a friend's house on Tuesday morning. He admitted the incident, but minimized what happened, police say.

Gentilcore was booked into jail on domestic violence charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage, assault and disorderly conduct.
