Police searching for missing bi-polar woman

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Authorities are searching for a missing 28-year-old woman who may be in the midst of an episode of bi-polar disorder.

Blanca Dandy was last seen Thursday morning wearing blue jeans, a brown jacket, gray boots and a black purse, police said in a missing person alert issued Saturday evening.

Dandy was last seen about 7:30 a.m. in the 106000 block of South Avenue M, police said in the release.

Police described Dandy as Hispanic, standing 5-foot-2, weighing 135 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and light brown hair. She also has a skin condition that reddens her face, police said.

Anyone with knowledge of Dandy's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
