Person of interest sought in Mesa smoke shop murder

MESA, Ariz. -

Police are looking for a person of interest in connection to a murder at a smoke shop near University Drive and Extension Road on March 8.

The owner of the smoke shop, 59-year-old Abdou G. Abdou, was found murdered.

A suspect, Chad Michael Stevens, III, was booked into jail in connection with the crime, but police are looking for a person of interest seen in the store's surveillance footage.

The man as in the strip mall at the time of the murder and store surveillance video showed the man was there a few minutes before the body was discovered.

The person of interest is only described as a white man.
