Pope Francis, Gwyneth`s new cookbook, Ald. Willie Cochran: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and lifestyle consultant Rochelle Totter discussed Pope Francis, Gwyneth Paltrow's new cookbook and violence in Chicago.

Thursday is the pope's first full day on the job. Even though not everyone is Catholic, he is now the spiritual leader for 1.2 billion people, making him a significant world figure. The ladies discussed some of the controversial topics surrounding his professional history.

Speaking of religion, the ladies also discussed the Bible. The History Channel has the most watched show in all of television based on that tome, with over 10 million viewers tuning in.

The ladies also discussed the massive negative reaction Gwyneth Paltrow's new cookbook has received from both the public and nutritionists. No carbs, pasta, bread, dairy, tomatoes, eggs, sugar, shellfish, coffee, alcohol, meat, processed foods – and people are asking, what is there left to eat?

Alderman Willie Cochran joined the Chat Room Thursday, to elaborate on an emotional plea he made to Chicago's gangs, and how it may have been misinterpreted by the media.
