Candlelight vigil held for home invasion victims

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

A candlelight vigil was held Wednesday night to remember a father and son who were shot and killed during a home invasion last week.

Parish Ocampo and his father, 46-year-old Ulises Ocampo, were shot to death on Friday.

The Aguila Youth Leadership Institute held the vigil at Civic Space Park to remember the men.

The 21-year-old Ocampo had recently received deferred status under the Obama Administration's executive order, allowing some undocumented immigrants to legally stay in the United States.

Ocampo was also putting himself through college and friends say he was a great guy.

"He was basically a guy of many labels.  He could go from hard worker to a fighter to a soccer player to a panda boy to a server. God's server and he just had so much confidence," said Jesus Parra.

Investigators are still looking for a suspect and a motive for the deadly shootings.
