Sistine Chapel bird inspires slew of Twitter accounts

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Tens of thousands of people were watching the Sistine Chapel smokestack for the signal that a pope had been elected, but one watcher knew before anyone else.

A seagull was perched on top of the smokestack for much of the day.

The bird provided some amusement for the crowd waiting in the rain. In fact, someone started a Twitter account with the @SistineSeagull name; although no doubt the bird already knew how to "tweet."
