CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Police released a sketch Wednesday of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a young woman at knifepoint in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side last week.
The 18-year-old victim was walking east in the 2400 block of West 65th Street when a man with a knife approached from behind and forced her into an alley about 6:30 a.m. on March 7, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The man sexually assaulted the woman then ran off, police said.
The attacker is described as a black man 30 to 40 with a dark complexion and dark hair, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2 and 180-190 pounds. He wore a black and red hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8380.
