CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
On Wednesday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and lifestyle consultant Rochelle Trotter discussed the outrage and emotion the city put forth upon hearing of 6-month-old Jonylah Watkins' shooting death.
Alderman Willie Cochran said: "Let's meet with gang leaders and tell them, ‘Go ahead kill each other, but don't kill innocent people.' They're off limits."
Is that the answer? The Chat ladies discussed this controversial stance, how they believe violence might be stemmed in the city.
Lance Armstrong is not worried about you forgiving him. He said that like his hero Bill Clinton, people will forgive him and he will be on top - as he says, "president of the world" again - in about 10 years. You can bet they had a lot to say on this topic.
The eyes of the world are on the Roman Catholic Church, as the papal conclave chooses the new pope while sequestered in the Sistine Chapel.
Reverend Barbara Zeman with Call to Action joined the Chat Room on Wednesday. She was the first Roman Catholic woman ordained in Chicago. She and her group are promoting the pink smoke gathering on the steps of Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
They're calling for a better place for women's voices in the church and the upset of the male-centric hierarchy. Zeman discussed her group's view, and how they believe they can effect a good change in the church they love.
