Video: Board Member Says No to 'Blended' Rail Plan

Posted: Updated:

Lynn Schenk said she has to go with her conscience and that means a "no" vote on a key memo to move forward on high-speed rail's blended plan.

A longtime supporter of high-speed rail and the vice chair of California's High-Speed Rail Authority, Schenk clearly surprised other members of the board.

As investigative producer Heidi Cuda reported last week, her comments were made at a recent rail authority meeting in San Mateo County, and the video link was just posted this morning on the rail authority's website.

Shortly after her comments, a break was called and Chairman Dan Richard said they would postpone the vote until they have a quorum.
