MESA, Ariz. -

Mesa police say a 16-year-old girl who went missing Thursday has been found safe.

Skylar Sanders was last seen by some friends at an apartment complex near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road.

Police say Sanders left with two acquaintances, Monica Hohenadel and a man named Danny. They may have left in a truck, but it is unknown what color, make or model.

Sgt. Tony Landato says Skylar "returned home on her own and was unharmed.  It does not appear she was 'held against her will.' We will be interviewing her today and evaluate the situation."

According to officers, Sanders is a habitual runaway.
