Nanny in murder case to have mental exam

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The nanny who allegedly killed two children in Manhattan has had her case suspended until a later date because her mental health examinations are not complete.

Police say Yoeslyn Ortega stabbed 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo last October while their mother was out with a third child.

Ortega, who was hospitalized with self-inflicted wounds, was found with the two children in the bathroom of an Upper East Side apartment.

Ortega appeared in court for the first time on March 8 and case was adjourned until April.
