Rain threatens baseball games, special deal for Cactus League fans

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

Rainy weather put a damper on Spring Training games in the valley on Friday. Friday's game at Tempe's Diablo Stadium was canceled due to the downpour.

To make sure that the World Baseball Classic wasn't rained out, Friday's games were moved from Salt River Fields to Chase Field.

The first game, Canada vs. Italy, will start just after noon.

Team USA against Mexico will begin at 7 p.m.

Organizers are offering Cactus League fans a special deal in case of inclement weather.

If you have a ticket to any of Friday's Cactus League games and the game is suspended due to rain, you can bring your ticket to the Chase Field box office to get a $5 ticket to the World Baseball Classic, while supplies last.
