The athletic director at Maine West High School will step down at the end of the school year.
Chris Addante says he needs to devote more time to his family and district officials say his resignation is not related to an ongoing hazing scandal at the school. Addante will remain at the school as a business education teacher.
Earlier this year, the school board fired two soccer coaches after allegations of hazing on the varsity boys soccer team.
