Pet Food Stamps program helps struggling owners

Updated:

Pet owners struggling financially are now getting some help from a new program that will keep the doggy dish full.

Pet Food Stamps are being offered to owners who are having a difficult time buying food for their pets.

The program was started to keep struggling families from having to put their pets in shelters.

The web site petflow.com receives private cash donations which go towards purchasing a pet food package that's delivered to the owner.

"You fill out an application and then three weeks from now you'll be contacted and verified..should you be verified, you will be getting a delivery of pet food from Petflow.com for a six month term and then you'll have to reapply in six months," said Marc Okon.
