Des Plaines banquet hall roof collapses due to heavy, wet snow

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
As many Chicago residents and suburbanites found out Tuesday, the snow that fell is heavy and wet – and apparently too heavy for the roof of a banquet hall and restaurant in Des Plaines.
The roof at Cafe La Cave on Mannheim Road collapsed just after midnight.
The business has been around a long time, right across from Allstate Arena.
It doesn't look like anyone was inside. They had a party with 300 guests scheduled this weekend.
