Rep. Michael Grim (R-SI) is calling on federal home mortgage companies to help Sandy impacted residents keep their homes.
"It's impractical or even impossible for these homeowners many who have been paying rent to come up with six months of payments. What we're asking is build those payments over the length of lone or tack onto the end," said Grimm.
The response has been positive, so far, added Grimm noting that mortgage companies understand the impact the life-altering event had on residents' lives.
