Phoenix Police say a woman has died after being struck by a car while she was walking on a sidewalk.
The 41-year-old woman was walking with a friend on Sunday night when a red Fiat convertible jumped the curb and hit her. The car immediately took off.
The woman was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition. Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump said the victim died early Monday morning.
The second woman wasn't injured.
The person who hit the victim was driving a red, late model 1970's Fiat convertible with a black top. The Fiat would have extensive damage to its passenger side and possibly a broken window.
