CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for a South Side woman who was last seen in early February.

Charquita Gardner, 54, was last seen Feb. 1 at 6:45 a.m. driving her car in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Family members have not heard from Gardner since Jan. 28 and reported her missing Feb. 23, the alert said.

Her vehicle was impounded on Feb. 2 after the driver, who was not Gardner, was arrested, the alert said.

Police describe Gardner as 5-foot-4, 160 pounds with brown eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should contact Area South detectives at (312) 745-6110.
