Bank robbed in Lyons

LYONS, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A bank was robbed Saturday in west suburban Lyons.

The suspect robbed the Standard Bank at 8601 W. Ogden Ave. at 11:47 a.m., according to the FBI.

A weapon was not displayed by the robber, the FBI said.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old African American man wearing a tan coat, white collared shirt, and black baggy pants, the FBI said.

The suspect also wore white gym shoes with black bottoms, black cloth gloves, sunglasses and a brown skull-type hat, the FBI said.
