A valley elementary school teacher has been arrested for allegedly molesting two girls.
45-year-old Eduardo Savinon teaches at Alta Butler elementary near 38th Street and Roosevelt.
The principal of that school received a call Thursday from the parent of one of the students, claiming their daughter was touched by the teacher.
The Phoenix police began to investigate the claim right away.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson stated, "Through the course of the investigation, probable cause was developed that Savinon had touched two girls in his classroom in their private areas, under their dresses, but over the shorts they wore underneath their dresses. It is believed this occurred while in the classroom. On one occasion, another student interrupted an attempt to touch one of the girls."
Savinon has denied the accusations.
He was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail and faces molestation charges.
