Today's women spend less time on household chores and weigh more than women of the 1960s, according to a study by some University of South Carolina researchers.

After studying women's diaries from 1965 through 2010, those South Carolina researchers say they found something stunning: women now spend 13 fewer hours on household chores but weigh, on average, 22 pounds more than their 1965 counterparts.

While researchers say the Hoover vacuum may have helped trim some pounds. Others say it's just a lot of hot air.
