Report: Girl Scouts frown on Honey Boo Boo's Facebook cookie campaign

Posted: Updated:

The Georgia Girl Scouts have put an end to the cookie sales scheme Honey Boo Boo cooked up for a friend.

According to TMZ, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson promised to help a friend sell cookies for her hometown's Girl Scout troop.

Honey Boo Boo put an advertisement for orders on her official Facebook page, which has more than 700,000 followers.

On Thursday, the Girl Scouts asked Honey Boo Boo to take the ad down because it "isn't fair to other girls trying to sell cookies."

The young reality star's mother, Mama June, told TMZ that she'll continue to sell the cookies even if she's not allowed to post ads online.
