DETROIT (AP) -- Jason Calliste's layup as time expired gave Detroit a 76-75 victory over Loyola of Chicago on Tuesday night.
Loyola had pulled ahead 75-74 on Jeff White's layup with 9 seconds to play. After a timeout, Calliste made his game-winner to give Detroit seniors Nick Minnerath and Doug Anderson a victory in their final regular-season home game.
Ray McCallum led the Titans (19-10, 11-4 Horizon League) with 22 points. Minnerath scored 21, and Anderson had 14.
The Ramblers (14-15, 4-11) got 20 points from Jordan Hicks. Christian Thomas, who scored a career-high 31 points in Saturday's loss to Kent State, had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Loyola shot 53 percent from the floor but committed 15 turnovers.
The victory kept Detroit within a game of Horizon League leader Valparaiso, which beat Youngstown State later Tuesday. Both teams play their last regular-season conference game Saturday: Valparaiso at Green Bay, Detroit at Illinois-Chicago.
