CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Bond was denied for a 16-year-old boy charged with sexually assaulting a woman in her Bucktown home on Sunday afternoon.

The unidentified boy was charged with home invasion, aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated armed kidnapping and aggravated vehicular hijacking with a weapon, police said.

The 43-year-old woman was assaulted at gunpoint about 12:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of West Moffat Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.

After the assault, the boy stole the woman's phone and drove off in her car, Gaines said.

The woman was home alone when her dogs began barking in the direction of the backyard, according to court documents. She looked out the back door and saw a man she did not know walking up her back stairs.

She opened the door and confronted Cervantes, who pulled a long black metal paint ball gun from his waist that he pointed at the woman, according to court documents.

Cervantes ordered her into her bedroom, where he picked up the woman's cell phone from her bed and placed it in his pocket, according to court documents.

Cervantes placed a shirt over the woman's head before sexually assaulting her, according to court records.

After the assault, the woman gave Cervantes money in an attempt to make him leave her home, court documents said. Instead, he grabbed the keys to her BMW on a counter and forced her to ride in the vehicle with a shirt over her head.

The woman begged Cervantes to let her out of the car, and she was released about three blocks from her home, court documents said. She ran to a nearby occupied car and called 911 while Cervantes drove away.

Cervantes drove to a school friend's home in the 2400 block of West Roosevelt Road to show off the BMW and the two cell phones he stole from the woman, according to court documents. The second phone he found inside the vehicle.

Police used the woman's phone to track the suspect, who was arrested about an hour later near the intersection of West Roosevelt Road and South Western Avenue.

The woman was taken to an area hospital and her condition was not immediately available.

Cervantes admitted to police that he entered the woman's home with a paint ball gun, sexually assaulted her and stole her car, according to court documents.

Cervantes is scheduled to appear in court March 18 for a preliminary hearing.
