MSU student killed in stabbing; suspect in custody

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WJBK) -

A local family is reeling after the stabbing death of a Michigan State University student. Police confirm the victim is Andrew Singler, 23, of Rochester.The stabbing took place around 4am Saturday at an off campus apartment on Rothbury Way in East Lansing.

We're told a roommate transported Singler to the hospital but he could not be saved. He died from his injuries. Police say they do have a person in custody who they believe is responsible. He's expected to be arraigned in the next 48 hours. No word yet on what led up to the violence.
