In the latest issue of the DC Comics creation, Batwoman, who is also known as Kate Kane, pops the question to her lady love, police detective Maggie Sawyer.
Batwoman has been one of DC's biggest superheroes since 2006 and has gone through several same-sex relationships.
But if she and Maggie get married, it won't be the first gay union in comic history: last year,MarvelComics superhero "Northstar" married his boyfriend.
