Caught On Tape: Restaurant Patron Punched In Head, Robbed

WILMINGTON, Del. -

Police are asking for help identifying a man who robbed a restaurant patron in Wilmington on Saturday.

Police said that at 9:46 p.m. on Saturday, February 2nd, officers arrived at the Jade Palace restaurant on the 1300 block of Lancaster Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware, in response to a call about a robbery.

Investigators said that a man was placing his order at the counter when a second man came up behind him and punched him in the head. The victim fell to the ground and dropped the money he was holding. The attacker picked up the money and walked out of the restaurant.

The attacker is described as an either black or Hispanic man around five feet seven inches tall, possibly with a beard, and wearing all black clothing.
