NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Matt Nadel, 13, of Springfield, New Jersey, has already hit a home run in the baseball blogging world.

That love affair started at the ripe old age of 8, when Matt -- a diehard Yankees fan -- began devouring baseball biographies.

His dad says as his son's passion grew, he started talking baseball with his friends.

In March 2012 he set up a blog to teach kids about baseball history: "Baseball with Matt."

He also landed a gig as the youngest pro blogger in the history of MLB.com. He got that job by calling the site's head baseball historian.

Matt has been featured in local papers and has interviewed baseball greats like Hank Aaron and Yogi Berra.

His personal blog has more than 24,000 page views, and he has thousands more on the MLB website.

Matt says his job as a blogger is just the beginning. He hopes to one day become a baseball historian and on-air personality.
