Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Clive Davis is a legendary record producer and music exec who has has played a major role in the careers of many famous artists, including Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston, and Kelly Clarkson.

Davis is currently on the road promoting his new memoir "The Soundtrack of My Life," which includes stories about the "American Idol" winner which Clarkson says "isn't true at all."

Clarkson says Davis has his stories and songs mixed up, she wanted more guitars added to the song and in the end she got what she wanted -- and the song was a hit.

Now she does admit to crying in his office but it was over the song "Because of You," which Clive said was bad.

Kelly blogged: "I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don't have to cower to anyone -- even Clive Davis."
