University of Michigan fraternity taking heat over semi-nude pictures

A fraternity's semi-nude photo used in a party invitation is attracting some unwanted attention on the University of Michigan campus.

The picture which shows many Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity members wearing nothing but an American flag was sent along with an email to the U-M sorority Alpha Phi to advertise an upcoming joint party, AnnArbor.com notes. The email and photos were later leaked to several websites including brobible.com and Jezebel.com.

Now the University of Michigan says it is investigating the photos. U-M spokesman Rick Fitzgerald tells AnnArbor.com the Greek life office and Interfraternity Council will be 'considering whether disciplinary actions are appropriate and whether the group's actions were in keeping with the fraternity's code of conduct."

One of Pike's social chairmen, who originally wrote the party invite telling brobible.com that he and the other social chairman were just looking to "create a buzz with the pictures" and that they didn't expect "every frat and sorority to get their hands on it."

"Lesson learned for promoting our upcoming proctologist-themed mixer," he joked.
