Michigan taxpayers may owe more this year

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

It's tax time! As you work on filing your taxes for home or businesses, there might be some surprises in store. Terry Conley, a tax partner who helps prepare individual and business taxes at Grant Thornton in Southfield says Michigan wage earners may be in for a surprise.

He says Gov. Snyder eliminated a component of the Michigan Business Tax.  As a result $1.4 million will be paid by Michigan taxpayers.
