ATLANTA -

Morehouse College says that President Obama will address the 2013 Commencement in May.

Morehouse College's new president John Silvanus Wilson, Jr. made announcement during the school's 25th Annual Candle in the Dark Gala on Saturday evening.

The announcement comes two days after the President visited Atlanta to tout his new education initiatives.

Wilson is the former Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities during President Obama's first term.

The commencement is scheduled for May 19.
