Alert issued for Pink Line robberies

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police have issued a community alert in response to recent armed robberies on the CTA Pink Line.

Twice in the last three weeks, a suspect has displayed a handgun to passengers on the Pink Line before stealing their cell phone, the alert said.

Both incidents were reported at the Kostner station.

The man is though to be between 22 and 30 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1, weighing 160 to 185 pounds.

The suspect has a medium complexion, with acne pockmarks on his face and a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
