TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man has been convicted of first-degree murder in a 2011 shooting.

It took a Pima County jury less than an hour Friday to convict 22-year-old Victor Lizardi.

He was charged in the death of 43-year-old Michael Smith, who was shot as he slept on Aug. 14, 2011.

The Arizona Daily Star (http://bit.ly/XUpegu) says Lizardi was arrested three days later.

Lizardi will be sentenced April 15 and faces a life prison sentence with or without the possibility of parole.

The following day, Lizardi is scheduled to go on trial in the shooting death of another man during an armed robbery on Aug. 16, 2011.
