Video of Michigan "Houdini Horse" going viral

MIDLAND, Mich. (AP) -

A mid-Michigan horse with a gift for escaping is getting a lot of attention after a video of her unusual talent was posted online.

The Saginaw News reports Mariska, a 9-year-old Friesian, has now been nicknamed "Houdini Horse," by her owners after she learned to open latches at the Misty Meadow Farms.

A YouTube video posted by owners, Sandy and Don Bon em already has more than 700,000 views.

Sandy Bon em says the horse, "doesn't like to be locked in." The video was shot about a year ago in the Midland area and shows Marisa opening several latches on the farm including those on the stalls of other horses. Sandy Bon em says Marisa started playing with things in her mouth as a young horse and "she just kind of progressed."
