One Billion Rising: Global movement to end violence against women

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

One Billion Rising is a global movement to end violence against women and girls started by Eve Ensler, creator of the Vagina Monologues.

All around the world Thursday, women gathered in solidarity to make their voices heard. One of the biggest gatherings will be at Daley Plaza, right here in Chicago.

Kristen Kaza produced the Chicago event, and brought Windy City Rollers members Ska Face, Senorita Slam and Val Capone to Good Day Chicago on Thursday.

They explained why the movement is so important to the world, previewed the numerous gatherings and named the movement's supporters.
