Posted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. -

Police and businesses along Tempe's Mill Avenue seized nearly 1,800 fake identifications from underage people last year.

Tempe police say the bogus IDs were taken from people trying to get into bars, clubs and other businesses that sell alcohol near Arizona State University's main campus.

Mill Cue Club had the most seizures with 378 while the School of Rock Mill Ave club with 285.

Police say the total number of cards seized last year is the lowest in the last three years.

They say about 2,100 were seized in 2011 and around 1,900 in 2010.
