Conditions Getting Worse For Passengers Aboard Disabled Cruise Ship

Posted: Updated:

Conditions for passengers aboard a Carnival cruise ship that's adrift in the Gulf of Mexico have gotten worse.

A fire in the ship's engine roof knocked out its operating system over the weekend, disabling the ship and leaving more than 400 passengers stranded.

In a phone call, one of the ship's passengers said they had no running water, no way to use the bathroom and no power.

Other cruise ships are delivering food and other supplies while the ship is towed to Alabama.

The ship was headed to the Caribbean from Texas.
