Six Pitbulls Found Dead In South Philadelphia

The SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the individuals responsible for the deaths of six dogs that were found dead and stuffed in garbage bags in South Philadelphia.

Officials were called to 26th Street and Washington Avenue by workers making a routine inspection of railroad tracks in the area, when found black trash bags with six adult pitbull remains in them.  All of the dogs had extensive injuries and wounds.

George Bengal, Director of Humane Law Enforcement at the PA SPCA tells FOX29 that all of the dogs died within 24 hours of being discovered.

The SCPA says they do not want to speculate on the cause of death, although they know the animals did not died of natural causes.
