Mesa restaurant offers fair food all year long

Posted: Updated:
MESA, Ariz. -

The Arizona State Fair comes and goes after a few weeks in the fall, but there's no need to miss out on the fried food and funnel cakes year-round.

A Mesa restaurant is serving up things like deep fried gator and turkey legs all year long.

Carnival fans Craig and Janine Sawyers have been wanting to open up a restaurant like this for a few years now.

"To bring the same experience under one roof," says Craig Sawyers. "We love everybody here in Mesa, come on over and support us!"

FOX 10's Kelly Hessedal visited Piggly's at the Fair, and sampled the fare. Press play to see what she thought.
