NJ Transit service suspensions

Posted: Updated:
NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

NJ Transit is suspending some bus, rail and Access Link service Friday evening because of the intensifying snow storm.

NJ Transit bus service in northern and central New Jersey (all routes north of I-195) will be suspended as of 8 p.m.

NJ Transit Morris and Essex Lines (including Gladstone Branch), Montclair-Boonton Line and all Midtown Direct services will be suspended as of 8 p.m.

Access Link paratransit service will be cancelled starting on Friday afternoon and continuing all day Saturday in Region 4 (Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, and north Ocean counties), Region 5 (Essex, Union, Somerset and Morris counties) and Region 6 (Bergen, Hudson, Passaic and parts of Essex counties).

Full systemwide cross-honoring is in effect for the entire service day Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9, so that customers can use their ticket or pass on rail, light rail, NJ Transit bus or on private bus carriers at no additional cost.

NJ Transit plans to operate a regular weekend schedule on Saturday, February 9, unless conditions worsen.
