SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (MyFoxDetroit) -

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson delivered his 19th State of the County address tonight. One of the big announcements was the creation of the web site, mitradeschool.org.

The Department of Economic Development created the site, which aims to connect those who are looking for training in skilled trades to regional trade schools.  The site also explores possible careers, details training programs, and aids in job searches.

Patterson gave his address to a crowd of more than 500 people. He announced the economy is rebounding and referred to the most recent data.

Oakland County had the highest per capita income in the state in 2011, and the county produced more than 23,000 jobs – which was more than 10,000 more than what was predicted.
