Fashion Week steps off at Lincoln Center

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The tents are up at Lincoln Center for the start of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013.

Among the designers showing off their latest wares is BCBG whose models hit the runway Thursday morning in the largest of the four tents known as the Theatre.

For the next week, anyone who is anyone in the fashion world will make their way to a show from designers like Zac Posen to Nicole Miller.

"Fashion Week really does have such a huge economic impact. Fordham University found that Fashion Week has a $40M impact on Lincoln Square alone. Overall, it's the first stop of all fashion weeks," said Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, President and CEO of SWW Creative, a major organizer of Fashion Week.
