Teen Seriously Injured In Bus Crash Awake, Communicating With Doctors

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. -

The mother of a teenager who was seriously injured in a bus crash over the weekend says her son is awake and communicating with doctors.

Matt Cruz, 16, was among 35 people who were injured when the bus he was on slammed into a highway overpass Saturday just outside of Boston.

The bus was carrying students from the Destined for a Dream Program at the time the accident happened. The students were returning to Bucks County after a tour of Harvard University.

Massachusetts State Police continue to investigate the accident.
