PHOENIX -

Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar is trying to lure the Remington Arms Company to Arizona.

Remington has a plant in New York -- but New York has some of the toughest laws in the country.

Gosar wrote a letter to Remington urging the company to move its plant to Arizona. He wrote, "Arizona is the best state for doing business and for living. The people of my district already welcome Sturm, Ruger Arms Manufacturing in Prescott and American Spirit Arms Manufacturers in Scottsdale. The people in Arizona cherish our constitution including the Second Amendment."

Gosar also wrote that the Verrado area, and Yuma, Yavapai, Gila, or Mohave Counties, would all be good places for the plant.

Paul Gosar represents the 4th Congressional District of Arizona. The 4th Congressional District is made up largely of western Arizona, and includes the cities of Payson, Prescott, Kingman, Lake Havasu City, and Yuma.
