Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot a 16-year-old boy near Grand and Peoria Avenues early Saturday morning.
Police say an armed suspect went into the boy's home and when the suspect pulled out a gun, the boy ran out of the house and tried to escape through the backyard.
The suspect allegedly shot the boy while he was trying to jump over a wall and into an alley near a Goodwill. The boy was taken to a hospital; his condition hasn't been released.
Police say the boy and the suspect know each other in some way. According to officers, the boy hasn't been cooperative with police.
A witness in the neighborhood saw the suspect get into a newer gold-colored pickup truck. The suspect allegedly shot at him too, but he wasn't harmed.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'5" tall. He is still at large.
